I can handle our saintsbury's if i absolutely have too (not too cheap either). there's something with the lighting in all of them, always gives me a headache.
there's few of them in Poland that have two floors and are just incredibly massive, horrid.
The secret is to go shopping at 11:30 at night...there's no one there except for the overly butch female security guards that like to give you filthy looks 'cus there's nothing else for them to do at that hour.
It cost me $300 too! You're all right of course (except we don't have Tesco). And Ross, the only way you'd get me in a supermarket at 11:30 is if you got your security guard girlfriend to do it at gunpoint :)

I was thinking more of the time difference, plus I have to do stuff while I remember or I'll be doing it at 4pm here and you will definitely be in bed then ;)

I really hate Tesco... it's big and overly bright, always busy and full of monitors playing noisy adverts. It's hell on earth.
Only supermarket I go to out of choice is the local Co-op. It's acutally a reasonably pleasant experience.
